OORT has completed its final large-scale token unlock, marking the end of early distribution to investors and contributors. The August 16 release concludes the initial allocation phase, with only 6 million tokens scheduled for quarterly unlocks over the next 30 months. Foundation representatives emphasize alignment among early stakeholders, noting no signs of coordinated selling.

The project simultaneously executed its Q2 2025 token burn, destroying 4 million OORT ($116,000) by transferring them to an inaccessible address. This brings the year's total burned supply to 6.8 million tokens—a deliberate deflationary tactic designed to reduce circulating supply and support long-term valuation.
